My mom (terminal cancer) was admitted into skilled nursing at Brookdale in a hospice situation for symptoms we were struggling to manage at home. They are amazing!! Every staff member has been so attentive and kind. Our family is there every day to be with her and we are witnessing the attention, care, kindness and skill they are treating her with in every moment. We are beyond grateful and are able to spend time with her without worrying if we’re failing her. Thank you to all the Brookdale staff.

Our mother was in the Brookdale rehab unit for 2 weeks as a result of a fall and one fracture of pelvis. . Services as pt, ot, were inconsistent and at times non existent. The staff did not help her at night to get up to go to the bathroom. There was one staff Guadalupe who was caring towards her. She described most staff as 'fresh' unhelpful to her medical and personal needs. Minimal to no communication as to her progress. When she was discharged no communication in person just a "There is a packet of paperwork in her room."We wheeled her out to take her home not one staff engaged with her or wished her well. Two days later, she was back in the hospital as a result of another fall and additional fractures of the pelvis. Do not bring a loved one to this rehab!!! Unprofessional, uncaring, poor communication.

Both of my parents have been at Brookdale at different times. Some of the staff are kind and treated my parents well . However, as a whole, Brookdale is incompetent and negligent. Staff is under trained and have no knowledge of basic medical care. They also failed repeatedly to provide rides to critical medical appointments, even after confirming by phone and email. They tried to rehab my mother's knee, when the doctors had told her she was not allowed to bend her knee. They took bandages off that were not to be removed. They didn't know how to do IVs correctly. They are horrendously understaffed, and have only bathed my Mother once this week. Don't send your loved one here, the facility looks nice, but the care is horrendous.

The entire staff is amazing. They are professional and attentive. They take a team approach to caring for my 93-year old mother. From the CNAs to the Administrative staff, this has been a comforting environment.
