My parents lived at Brookdale Glen Ellyn for 2 years. All the staff knew their names. Their south facing apartment provided cheerful light all year. The dining experience is lovely. No dining dollars or calling ahead to reserve a time slot. A daily hot protein breakfast improved my parents' energy level significantly. I joined them for dinner monthly and thought the food was tasty without being too salty. Even though they said they would not participate in "activities," they became regulars at chair yoga and B-Fit classes. Brookdale allowed Hospice care in their independent living apartment with my Dad's hospital bed in one bedroom so they could be together when he passed away. The only thing I heard Mom complain about was heavy exterior doors difficult to navigate with her walker. We moved Mom to the Assisted Living floor but she only lasted 5 weeks before the staff determined she needed more care than they could provide. I learned that Assisted Living communities have many levels of care and while Brookdale's is excellent, it is limited, and we had to move her to a different facility. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Brookdale and highly recommend this community for your loved ones.

We love Brookdale Glen Ellyn for our sister. She is in independent living. We moved her from another assisted place where she lived with our mom. Mom passed away, and now sister is at Brookdale. Everyone there is so nice and professional but also warm and caring. It is a family with fantastic food and lots to do. Hoping to move there myself "someday".

My parents moved to Brookdale Glen Ellyn 2 and 1/2 years ago, and they have settled in well! They have made many friends and are actively participating in a variety of activities from exercising to being in the large Brookdale choir. They love the food, and we are impressed by all of the choices. The staff knows all of the residents, and they truly care for each one. My parents have also enjoyed the convenience of having doctor appointments and hair cuts right in Brookdale. They also enjoy weekly shopping trips with the bis service provided by Brookdale. There have been so many positives about making the decision to move to Brookdale Glen Ellyn!

Kind and compassionate staff D. Delicious dinners A. Active lifestyle L. Laughter and friendships E. Enjoyable entertainment I am 87 years old. For the past three and a half years Brookdale’s has been my home sweet home!
