I have been here for 8 months in this time period I have had nothing but stress. I came from e wa thinking I was going to get care but, sadly I didn’t. And, I was misled by director. The director is a bully to residents and it is a very hostile environment where it should be peaceful and caring and happy to live here - it is not. The residents should be the top priority of care 💯and it is not. It’s all about the staff. I grew up where customers were #1 that includes residents. I have seen and witnessed a residents death and it still has left me deeply saddened and will never forget it. So many residents dying is beyond words. I see residents struggling with their wheelchairs no help I’m always calling for help. When I ask for help it’s like asking for 12th of never! My care plan never gets done and I’m constantly every week trying to get help and frustrated this was done by ombudsman several months ago. Medications have not only been a problem with me but other residents; not ordered properly- forgotten- and happens all the time. Dr order is never been administered to me correctly twice I had antibiotics from er Dr and by the 4/5 day the time is in computer for later time but yet other med techs have been giving it to me 2xs day; nurse said they have to go by state and I said what is point of a Dr order if your going by state!!! I’ll loose my license well well that’s a mess of a legal issue right there. I also have received many bills from Brookdale pharmacy where they are not billing to my insurance company and to Medicade I should not be getting bills in assisted living facility nor should I be billed $514.00 for b-12 shots and nurse never telling me that’s not ok. I will not pay a dime.i have been a good resident and pay my rent on time diligently but, many residents have been threatened by evictions and yet nothing has been done to get these residents a payee to help them sadly. Thst is inhumane and disgusting horrible. How a elderly disabled not cognitively impaired going to know about their $$$ much less getting evicted seriously! I don’t want to live here because I’m a good person who cares for humanity and life and this is not a happy place for me to live and be happy. I have met some wonderful residents here as friends and there has been a few staff that get no recognition that I like to mention: Randy is the kindest soul who does jack of all trades and smiles for us I call him “Chief “ ; Newby has a smile and is always there for me and does her job like no one else can 💯; Carisa is smart and can do many hats without loosing her cool and in many situations love her beyond ; Teru has taken other staff bullying for no reason and a wonderful soul and asset to company with grace ; Tammy goes beyond doing so much for us with little help and never complains she is a breath of fresh air thank for all you do Tammy ; Jay thank you for your heart in the office and never loosing your cool your amazing ; Alice you got the moves dancing girl ; one last person- Ellie Omg this gal is beyond wonderful when I walk in my room and my place is cleaned and I had a long day at the dr. She is my breath of fresh air 🫶she also is going places too. A real asset to any company. you all deserve to be noticed and I appreciate all you have done for me since I’ve been here. I will miss you dearly. I want to leave with this …. We are not perfect people nor am I. But, I have learned from my mistakes and i have gone through pain in my life. But thanks to my faith I survived and I’m grateful for being able to help others. If your suffering get help please. If your in need of therapy do not hesitate or think it’s shameful get help - YOU MATTER. That’s for resident or staff or anyone DO NOT GIVE UP call 988 ; never judge never ridicule because it can come back to you. We all have had dirt in our lives. Never Shame anyone no one is to be shamed . Best thing you can do is smile hug and lend a helping hand the heart 💜 is reflecting into the world and certainly Needs LOVE to go around not hate or ridicule. Peace to all of you and God bless you.

If you send your family here, please be an advocate and make sure that the staff are taking care of them and treating them fairly and legally. My grandmother lived here a few years ago and the experience was horrible to say the least. I really didn't want to write this review because I am a somewhat passive person but the treatment they showed my grandmother towards the end of her stay there was downright dehumanizing. She moved out in 2021 when we were under a Federal Eviction moratorium. My grandmother was rushed to the hospital as she had developed gout in her feet and couldn't move (this was towards the end of October). The EMT staff were so appalled at her living conditions and the fact that she had been sitting in a wet adult diaper for days. My grandmother was in the hospital for about 2 weeks and as a result had not been in to pay her rent. I got a call that she would need to go to a rehab center and the director of Brookdale at the time (I believe his name was TJ) called me and said my grandmother had 24 hours to pack her stuff and get out. I called out of work and had 3 friends come and help me pack her belongings. In the middle of packing TJ and the front office receptionist Bing, came to the door and told me that my grandmother hadn't paid her rent and that if we didn't pay it right then that we had to leave and that they would hire a crew to come dispose of her belongings and charge the bill to my grandmother. Keep in mind that this was around November 4 and that they told us she had to be out within 24 hours but that she also owed rent for the entire month? Also keep in mind that we were under an eviction moratorium and Brookdale was essentially trying to both hold my grandmother's belongings hostage and illegally evict her while in hospital due to a lack of care by their staff. I write this review to say that I know it can be a lot of pressure to put your family away and sometimes we are desperate. But please advocate for your family members and if you send them here, make sure that you are checking in on them and fact checking everything that the staff says to you. What they tried to do to my grandmother was very illegal and I wish I had called the attorney general back then.

Oh gosh, leaving a bad review of a company is so against my nature but I need to make sure no one else is scammed and mistreated the way we were and I wish we could have had forewarning. Whatever you do, do NOT send your loved ones here. They scammed my aging aunt out of exorbitant amounts of money with erroneous charges, including nine months of a purported 2-person lift to get her around that was never utilized (they only ever used one), subtracting money for their third party prescription company Omnicare they then pocketed and did not pay Omnicare. In total, they stole just under $13,000 my mother has been working the equivalent of a part-time job trying to get back in the year since my aunt passed. It’s to the point where we will be pursuing legal action.

The staff there is amazing. They take so good care of my mom. We were sad when mom had to be in a rehab. But the good news is she so much better and she gets to return back to Brookdale. Steve the director truly cares for his patience and staff. We are so blessed that we are able to have mom in a safe environment with people who cares.
