For seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia, we also offer a structured daily path of engagement to help strengthen current skills, like morning mental workouts, clustered group discussions, and creative art classes.

Before move-in day, residents can choose between multiple apartment floor plan options—some apartments even have a gorgeous lake view. No matter what you choose, your space will be outfitted with a private bathroom, spacious closets, and windows for plenty of natural light. Have a four-legged best friend? As a pet-friendly community, they're more than welcome to come along and help you settle in. We know it just wouldn't feel like home sweet home without them.

Our community offers two levels of care: assisted living and memory care. With assisted living, we offer a helping hand with little things like grooming, dressing, transportation coordination, and medication management, and then step aside so you can continue living life to the fullest.

For loved ones with Alzheimer's or dementia, our memory care program focuses on preserving identity and sense of self, strengthening current skills, and promoting a sense of belonging and purpose. We have secure areas on campus set up for safe engagement in gardening, kitchen work, and handyman help. These types of life skills help provide a sense of purpose and keep residents engaged.

And, of course, we understand that safety and peace of mind are important. That's why our community is equipped with a 24-hour security system and with staff available on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to any emergencies.

I had to see it for myself experience is the best teacher, and it was horrible. I should have taken that person’s advice because they were right. This is not a suitable place for memory care. Residents are allowed to roam freely throughout the floor, even though many are confused and not adequately supervised. They wander into other residents’ rooms, and some can become aggressive, hitting others or taking belongings. Unfortunately, my mother’s personal items were among those taken, and I also suspect staff involvement. Residents with very different levels of dementia are placed together, including some who require much higher levels of care. The caregiving staff does not appear professionally trained, and there is constant turnover. The laundry department has been unacceptable — clothing has been damaged with lint buildup, shrunk, or misplaced among other residents’ belongings. Washing everyone’s clothing together is unsanitary. My mother was placed in a small, shared room that was cluttered and cramped. Sharing a room with another confused dementia resident creates unnecessary stress and confusion. The facility has a persistent bad odor as soon as you step off the elevator, and the rooms smell unpleasant. There are holes in the walls, and the kitchen area is cluttered and unclean. The overall environment raises serious sanitation concerns, including possible pests and insects in the bathrooms. This is not even the full extent of the issues. My mother was unhappy there and declining. When I told her she would be leaving soon, she was genuinely excited. After submitting many complaints to the director, assistant director, and others, nothing was resolved. That is when I knew it was time to remove her. Enough is enough — she deserves better. I do want to give credit where it is due Stacy Activities and entertainment , The physical therapy team, Physician Hermina, and nurses showed genuine care and professionalism. I appreciate the time and attention they gave my mother. Today, my mother is doing well in a safer, better environment with me. Thank you for the care that was provided by those who truly tried. Photos of upkeep of the rooms nasty carpet , if you don’t complain it will remain.

So disappointed. #1 assisted living?! By whose standards?! My mother has been there for three months and is now completely bedbound. There is zero communication amongst staff and there is no way to get in touch with anyone in the nursing station. Completely understaffed. We purchased a $1000 mattress for my mother-in-law with a heavy duty Mattress cover to ensure that it would remain intact. However, because the staff are completely incompetent, neither the cover or sheets were placed on her bed, which became soiled to the point of absolute neglect. Additionally, the room is infested with fruit flies. All of our concerns have gone unanswered, and she is currently in the hospital with terrible bed sores. Don’t walk away from this place, run!

This place is horrible ! The new kitchen director Elliot has came in and took my Mothers two options away as far as lunch and dinner options. The residents don’t get any types of vegetables. He has now switched over to feeding the fourth floor memory care resident on desert plates. If my mother don’t want the one option only other option is a dry , stale sandwich . I’ve witness them eating food off tables due to the plates being too small. The memory care residents also have no activities they have them sit in front of a tv all day. The aides do the best they can , they need way more help than what is there. Also mom’s laundry is always piled up. Communication here sucks ! Nurses never have an answer for questions. You can’t go to the ED because she’s very dismissive. The fourth floor memory care unit needs to be shown more love, care, and compassion, they are still humans!

Finding the right assisted living facility can be quite a daunting task. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of care and services that my family member is receiving. Brookdale takes pride in providing person-centered care, practicing ethics, and having a clear mission statement. Having my loved one in a location that is accessible for daily visits from friends and family is invaluable. I can’t thank the Brookdale management and staff enough for providing my loved one and family with support during this very difficult time in our lives.
