This includes research-backed activities like gentle fitness classes, art and dance events and brain-boosting games.
Residents will choose their own apartment from a variety of floor plans, each pet-friendly with large sunny windows, a bathroom and spacious living area. You’ll love meeting friends for dinner in our restaurant-style dining room, catching up with book club in the charming library or relaxing in the fireside living room. The staff in the office, med techs, care givers, nurses, dining staff and managers always did a great job caring for my Mom. They are all extremely caring, helpful and always do their best to deliver high quality care for everyone in the facility. Mary in the office is tremendous in her help with billing and support to family members; she goes out of her way to make sure you are satisfied and all your needs are being addressed. Brookdale of Central Chandler is a top notch facility for senior living care!

Our loved one(wife and mom) was placed in their memory care 2020-2021. We wrote a letter about our experience and sent it to corporate. We emailed as well, to multiple addresses. We never received any type of acknowledgement. The lack of any acknowledgement was grossly unprofessional, on top of the sub par memory care experience. It did evoke a feeling of a facility who does not care. In short, our loved one was kicked out as a behavioral problem, during covid. They kept treating a NON EXISTENT UTI, thinking that caused her behavior issues. When the behavior didn't correct, they were done with her. She spent time in a psych facility, deemed a non behavior problem...before a new place would take her. Within 5 minutes at the new place, the nurse realized she has a mouth problem. Sure enough she had an infection which went into her jaw. The UTI antibiotics, Brookdale kept pumping into her, don't work on THAT kind of infection. She never recovered fully recovered. Her last 4 months of life were miserable. I suggested to them to be cognizant, that not all women with Alzheimer’s have UTI's if they have behavioral issues. I suggested they look for other sources of infection. We have them in nursing care for valid reasons and staff needs to do better. Period. ::crickets:: Well, our letter totally fell upon deaf ears. Perhaps their legal team advised them not to respond to me. If so, that was a poor choice. I waited to post a review, as not to do it from a place of emotion. I post now, because I believe families need to know about our experience.

Finding a safe, compassionate place for my brother was a top priority, especially after his traumatic experience at another facility. Brookdale Senior Living - Central truly went above and beyond to meet our needs. Lisa, in particular, was incredible – guiding us through every step of the journey, from helping us find a skilled nursing center after my brother's hospital stay to making sure his transition into Brookdale was seamless and centered around his specific needs. The atmosphere here feels like family, and my brother is finally in a caring, supportive environment. I highly recommend Brookdale for anyone looking for a senior living community that genuinely cares.

I currently have my parents in this facility in Chandler. Brookdale on 1919 west Carla vista. A few of the techs and caregivers are terrible. Especially a med tech named LILLIAN. She is HORRIBLE and should not be working in this line of employment. She is not friendly. She looks like she is constantly miserable and is always standing around on her cell phone. She’s not nice at all. They used to have great staff but seems the workers have high turnover rate. There is a few good ones you can tell actually like their job. Others, like LILLIAN, do not. They never want to help like they are supposed to. Call buttons are pushed for hours and no one comes. The food used to be good but it is horrible now. They don’t feed them enough food and give sandwiches at almost every meal. Some looks like things people in prison would have. Give them one small scoop of a side and sandwich. Its absurd. I have seen some roaches and was told before admitting my family that there would people to help clean their rooms and laundry etc. NO ONE helps clean the rooms but they do offer laundry service every week I think. There’s more I can say but won’t make this review to long. I am in the process of looking for another facility. The front office staff is amazing on the plus side and the director of the facility.
