Although it's unfortunate that health issues required two family members to become long-term residents, as caretakers, my sister and I are very pleased with the staff and services provided by Brookdale Beavercreek. Brookdale is a small, intimate facility, which over time allows the staff to learn the needs and personality of every resident. The staff are kind and attentive, always showing genuine concern for the quality of life of their residents. On the rare occasion we had issues or concerns, each was addressed promptly and professionally. Highly recommend.

The director is garbage and couldn’t care less about the residents. She sees the residents as walking dollar signs and nothing more. If your loved one is diabetic they will charge you extra fees to leave the mashed potatoes off the plate, but if the resident asks for the mashed potatoes, cake, soda then they still give it to them. You are expected to provide all personal items including toilet paper and paper towels! Make sure have proof of delivery (when and how much) as these items have a tendency to disappear. They charge extra for laundry service too, but do not guarantee that the resident will get their clothes back! You must label the clothing items with the resident’s name so it baffling that they can’t get the right clothes back to the right resident. This is of course assuming these items are misplaced and not flat out stolen! They also do not sort anything and wash everything in hot water. If all your loved one owns are polyester gray colored clothes then this won’t be an issue. As an assisted living facility they also do NOT provide assistance with doctors appointments or any other type of transportation. Finally make sure you are aware of the difference between a nursing home and assisted living facility. Brookdale is only assisted living so as your loved one ages and needs additional care it is likely they will make them leave!

Both the facility and staff are phenomenal. The facility itself is clean and very warm and inviting. They make it feel like a private home. The staff are always friendly and attentive. They have lots of events for the residents and families. My mom literally did a 180 when she moved to Brookdale Beavercreek. She is very happy and involved in activities at this facility. I'm very grateful to have found this place. Also the head nurse Kim Mitchell is fantastic. Very communicative and collaborative. I wish I had found this place earlier!

My sister Anna is living at Brookdale Beavercreek and has found a home where she has "family" to interact with and who care about her and she them. There are many activities to be involved in and she has chosen her favorites. Life is more exciting now because she belongs. For Anna that is important, belonging. Her family is very content knowing she is being taken care of. Thank you Brookdale staff, all of you.
