I saw the negative reviews and almost didn’t tour Brookdale Senior independent living apartments. But, I’m so glad we did! The reviews certainly don’t reflect the independent living apartments! My folks just moved in recently to the senior apartment community. If you are looking for a place, please check them out. You won’t be sorry. Everything is 5 stars about this place. Convenient to hospitals & shopping. Excellent food. They had a public Luau in August. They had ham, bbq chicken, veggies, 2 kings of salads, several desserts and fresh fruit. They consistently serve 3 meals daily with plenty of options. The residents and staff are friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. You can’t walk past anyone in the lobby without stopping to chat. My folks aren’t interested in a lot of activities, but they are offered daily. Their back yard area is lovely with several places to walk your dog, sit outside or do some gardening. Most apartments have adjoining balconies with plenty of room for a bistro type setting. My folks have a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, full kitchen, large walk in closet & bathroom. Lots of storage in the units. If you bring too much stuff when moving in, then ask about their on site storage units to store some extra boxes. Their pricing is very competitive too. I’m very glad we made the choice to move here.

Staff is great - everyone is so friendly. Beth M. (Associate Executive Director) is AWESOME to work with. Food is pretty good - and lots of choices. Units are nicely updated and well planned. Smooth move-in process. Nice to see people out and about socializing in the lobby and common areas. Library is quite expansive with free books for residents. And...2 shuttle busses for transport and excursions.

My mother and sister in law have found a home at the Villas. The people are really nice and the activities are endless. It is close to my house and so I visit them several times a week. The staff always greets me with a smile and a nice things to say. The salon is also great for my mother as it is harder and harder for her to do her own hair. They only complaint I ever hear is about the food. But home cooking is a hard thing to top. There is a kitchen in every room, so cooking is still possible. It was a relief for our family to find a place that fit so well.

More amenities than other places, consistent quality, good food with lots of options, friendly staff and neighbors, and feels the most comfortable of the places I’ve been. They also have 24 hr front desk and security monitoring which I appreciate in this day and age.
