Bridges by EPOCH at Westwood

This review is for a wonderful staff member at Bridges.. Malek Barnett.. He had gone above and beyond duty this week to help a resident and myself (caregiver). On Tues my clients toilet would not stop running, so it couldn't flush. Malek was rt there to fix the problem. While he was working, a very confused resident walked in the wrong room. Once he was done he went rt over to resident, put his arm around her and said to her "Lets take a walk and talk" he calmed her rt down. On Thurs. I was looking for a spray bottle to spray my clients hair down so I could blow it out and curl it. Not only did he go find me one, he told us we could keep it. It was brand new.. That was so nice of him and we won't forget what an incredible heart this man has.. I hope Bridges find many more just like him!!

Everyone we encountered was so helpful and happy, which made the process of moving my father into the community much easier for me and my family. I especially want to recognize Taylor, who was amazing throughout the entire experience. From the initial tour of the community to being extremely helpful with the paperwork process, Taylor’s support was invaluable. Additionally, I would like to thank the maintenance staff for their assistance in getting the room set up and fixing a few items that were broken during the move. I believe the gentleman’s name started with an "M," and his help was greatly appreciated. I want to thank each and every staff member who made the day 100 times better for us. I am writing to share my feedback regarding a recent tour I took of your community while searching for a place for my mother and father. Unfortunately, I found it to be one of the worst experiences I have had during my search. During my visit, I met with Taylor, who was extremely pushy regarding us leaving a deposit. I also spoke with the Executive Director, John, who seemed clueless about the topics we discussed. It was disheartening to see, and I feel terrible for the families who have loved ones currently residing there. Furthermore, I noticed that the CNAs were on their phones instead of attending to residents as they should be. When I asked about this, I was informed that it is an ongoing issue. My mom, at 98 years young, requires memory care assistance due to dementia. After conducting extensive research, we made the enlightened decision to admit her to Bridges by Epoch in Westwood, Mass, and we are overjoyed with the outcome. The caliber of care my mom receives is truly outstanding. It is evident that the staff genuinely care for the residents, treating them with dignity, respect, and compassion, more like family than residents. The facility itself is immaculate and elegantly decorated, akin to a luxurious hotel. Among the numerous memory facilities we toured, this one shone brightly above the rest. A diverse range of activities are offered, catering to various needs and interests. My mom is beaming with happiness, able to cherish every moment she has left. When I am not present, I am completely at peace, knowing her care and safety are in capable hands.
