Care
Assisted Living
A living option for seniors or individuals who require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication management while maintaining a level of independence. Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.
Memory Care
Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.
Respite Care
Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

This facility is nicely run with a caring executive and nursing staff. The building has a home-like feel and it’s obvious that the residents are treated like people and not just numbers on a spreadsheet. The activities coordinator does an excellent job encouraging residents to participate and engages with family. The nursing staff, specifically in the memory care unit, do a fabulous job watching over and caring for their residents. It takes a special kind of person to handle dementia patients and Bickford of Carmel’s staff does not disappoint! I Highly recommend this facility.

We like Bickford of Carmel very much. In our experience it is just the right size, resulting in a friendly, homelike atmosphere. The food is nutritious and delicious, and the staff is caring and competent. The activities director has just outdone herself yet again, this time with the splendid Olympics party she created for the residents. (The laughter and celebratory cheers are likely still ringing in the common area and the bistro.) The administration is open and welcoming, eager to work through any concerns brought to their attention. The new landscaping is attractive and inviting. This assisted living and memory care home really is a good place. My husband and I recommend Bickford of Carmel highly.

I know how difficult it can be to find a home for your loved one where you feel confident they will get the care they deserve. My siblings and I had to go through 2 not so great nursing home experiences to find Bickford, but I'm so glad we found them. Our dad needed advanced care with his severe dementia and Mary B's was just the place for him! Their knowledge of the disease state, kind and compassionate care given to him by the nurses and aides, and the comfort and peace they gave to my siblings and I knowing he was well taken care of, meant the world to us. Bickford truly feels like home to their residents and the quality of care they provide is unmatched. I highly recommend Bickford to those looking for a wonderful place for their loved ones!

I do not have a loved one at Bickford. I was hired to paint a custom mural around a door that residents kept trying to wander through, and often setting off the door alarm. I was really impressed by Bickford Reserve. I listened to the nursing staff care for the elderly for almost 6 hours while I painted, and they were so kind. One nurse sat with a lady for awhile and talked to her about her family photos and old memories. She joked with her about her own life and spoke respectfully, and joyfully. She didn't speak to the elderly woman like a child, but more like a loving grandchild. I heard them help and serve two meals, keeping them content, and helping them with their silverware. The facility, was just amazing. I wish my Grandparents had been able to be given such a wonderful home for their end of life. I was happy to be part of making their lives safer and more enjoyable.
