The Bickford of Carmel has been such a blessing for our family. It truly feels like home, and the staff go above and beyond to care for my mother-in-law with kindness and compassion. This company took really great care of my grandmother. The nurses were caring and the new director, I believe her name is Jen Hodge, has been fantastic. She has been helpful in answering all of our questions and went out of her way to show my grandmother great care. Good job team.

My mom was in this facility for an about two months. It was awful. The department of health ended up finding them guilty of neglecting my mom in February of 2024. She wasn’t checked on for 13 hours. She fell and had to be in the hospital for 3 days due to their neglect. We had to be there all the time to make sure they were taking care of her. The nurses were made to do double duty as food servers instead of being able to just do their jobs. No one would answer the phone after 9 pm. The manager at the time made promises that never happened. The nurses were always complaining about the conditions they were working under. It looks like a nice place but they will not deliver on their promises to care for your loved one as family. There is no organization or accountability to make sure your loved one is not passed over. You simply cannot trust them to take good care of your loved one. I also have video to back up all of these statements.

Makes my dad wait 40 plus minutes to toilet. Told my dad to pee and poop himself. Puts him in bed whenever they can to avoid having to take care of him. Won't get him in the shower and only provides bed baths. Does not help him brush his teeth...which all of this was signed off on when we moved him in. Avoid this place for anyone you love. Just to reiterate, do not ever take a loved one here ever. This place is an absolute joke.
