Benedictine Living Community-St. Joseph is a senior retirement continuum of care community. The non-profit community offers 49 independent living apartments, 32 assisted living residences, 96 skilled nursing and long term care beds and rehabilitation therapies. Benedictine Living Community-St. Joseph is owned and operated by Benedictine and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Scholastica of Duluth, MN.

Life Plan/CCRCs
Also referred to as Life Plan Communities, these communities offer a comprehensive continuum of care for residents. CCRCs offer multiple levels of care, allowing seniors to transition between independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care as their needs change throughout their aging journey.
Senior Apartments
Senior apartments are designed for older adults, featuring amenities and services. These apartments offer a maintenance-free lifestyle with access to social activities, promoting active living and independence.
Respite Care
Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.
Skilled Nursing
Skilled nursing and nursing homes are residential facilities that offer medical care and support for individuals that require a higher level of medical attention and assistance. These are staffed by licensed healthcare providers and offer a range of services to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents.

My mom was a patient at the Living Community in the skilled unit on two separate occasions for approximately 2.5 months. The facility was wonderful in every category possible! I would highly recommend to any family in need for short-term or long-term care of a loved one! We will be forever grateful for the care provided to our mother! Our awards of excellence include several individuals for their outstanding care, compassion, knowledge & work ethic: Amy (Administrator), Rose (Social Services), Rhea (APRN), Brooklyn (Clinical Mgr.), Revie (RN), Trista (Patient Care Tech), Robin & Paige (Physical Therapy), Jodi (Occupational Therapy), Carol (Housekeeping), April & Dave (Transportation). I suppose I’ll start by saying it’s disappointing that I can only rate five stars. Our experience at Benedictine Living Community has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment we toured the community, my mother knew this was where she wanted to move. Tiffany and Amy are absolutely AMAZING and have gone above and beyond in every aspect, and their communication has been nothing short of remarkable. They truly embody the spirit of what Benedictine stands for, and are individuals you would want caring for your loved ones. Before we signed the lease, we were informed every step of the way on what the process was, and given the opportunity to ask any questions we had beforehand. There was zero pressure during the tour, and they want the residents to make their own informed decisions. Unfortunately, prior to the move in date, my mother was hospitalized and then moved to the Skilled Nursing side of the building for rehabilitation services. There was an employee issue that, when brought to nursing leadership’s attention, was swiftly handled. My mother received fantastic care while in the Skilled Nursing unit. She then moved into her Independent Living apartment. During this time, I know Tiffany visited her regularly, and made sure she felt comfortable with meal times and how to get around the building. Tiffany truly cares about the residents, and it’s evident by the way she treats everyone she meets. My mom lived in the apartment for around three days before she had to be hospitalized again (and it was a tremendous peace of mind that Mosaic was literally across the street). Amy and Tiffany made a point to come visit her while she was in the hospital, and I know it meant the world to my mom that she was so cared about. While my mom eventually passed away and never made it back to her apartment, I can’t tell you how amazing we, as the family, felt with the support of all the staff from Benedictine. After she passed, Amy and Tiffany made an extremely trying and difficult situation logistically manageable, and offered their assistance whenever possible. From the bottom of my heart, I am thankful we got to know you, and can’t thank you enough for taking such good care of my mom while she was there.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited the Benedictine Senior Living community in Saint Joseph, Missouri, and was utterly taken by the serene fountain at the entrance. But what truly made my visit memorable was the Marketing and Sales Manager, Jenni. It’s evident she takes immense pride in her role; not only is she adept at showcasing the community's features, but she also has a genuine passion for learning and sharing the unique stories of every resident. In an age where personal touches are often overlooked, Jenni stands out as a beacon of genuine care and connection.
