Benedictine Living Community-St. Joseph is a senior retirement continuum of care community. The non-profit community offers 49 independent living apartments, 32 assisted living residences, 96 skilled nursing and long term care beds and rehabilitation therapies. Benedictine Living Community-St. Joseph is owned and operated by Benedictine and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Scholastica of Duluth, MN.

CCRCs offer multiple levels of care, allowing seniors to transition between independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care as their needs change throughout their aging journey.
Senior Apartments
Senior apartments are designed for older adults, featuring amenities and services. These apartments offer a maintenance-free lifestyle with access to social activities, promoting active living and independence.
Respite Care
Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.
Skilled Nursing

In September of 2025 I had a fall and while still wearing a boot I was suggested to receive physical therapy. I sought out the physical therapy department of Benedictine Living Community Center. I had the very good fortune to receive physical therapy there . I was admitted to the program by Jane , very professional and friendly . I received physical therapy from Jay , Breanna, Amanda and Shelby . All were excellent, professional, knowledgeable and friendly . While there I received physical therapy and went home with directions to continue progress at home . I certainly recommend the department of physical therapy at Benedictine Living Community Center. Lack of staff. “dr Jay” is the worst therapist I’ve ever met. He didn’t work me and his charting made it look as if I didn’t need therapy and I had to be discharged and now having trouble getting outpatient therapy as a result!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited the Benedictine Senior Living community in Saint Joseph, Missouri, and was utterly taken by the serene fountain at the entrance. But what truly made my visit memorable was the Marketing and Sales Manager, Jenni. It’s evident she takes immense pride in her role; not only is she adept at showcasing the community's features, but she also has a genuine passion for learning and sharing the unique stories of every resident. In an age where personal touches are often overlooked, Jenni stands out as a beacon of genuine care and connection.
