My Mom loves living at the Benedictine in Northfield. She says everyone in all departments (including aides, nurses, bldg maintenance, housekeeping, food service, admin office, entertainment & spiritual) treat her respectfully as if she were part of their families. She also loves the meals, says she never goes to bed hungry. I love visiting her on Movie Day & we watch together. I am relieved to know my Mom is in a safe, loving & warm environment.

I was at this community this week. My experience was delightful! I was greeted at the main entrance by two happy residents. The staff led me to the memory care unit. It was almost breakfast time. I was moved to see the joy of the residents. Three women sat at a table joyfully singing Christian hymns while other residents listened with smiles on their faces. The atmosphere was bright and cheerful! The staff preparing the residents for breakfast were very kind and uplifting. I’ve been in many memory care units and this one impressed me. Thank you for taking care of your residents so gracefully.

Awesome facility. New, spotlessly clean, white interior with wide halls, interesting artwork. Staff are caring and dedicated to the residents. Atmosphere is open and airy feeling. My sister is in the Memory Care for over three months now. The meals are prepared by an on site chef and altho I have not eaten there because of covid, I have seen staff eat and rave about the quality of the food. They don't charge for a nurse assessment or preparation of long term care insurance monthly claims like the facility my sister resided at before here. Also the price is so much better than anything around. Only thing is you have to move if you can't feed yourself, unless you are on hospice. They have a doctor nurse team that comes onsite which is tremendously helpful. The nurses on staff are wonderful to work with. Any concerns or questions and they always get back to you quickly. Besides the MC they also have assisted living and independent living. It is located across the street from the Northfield Hospital in a country setting and is truly a gem. Almost two years later: I am writing a final review of the Memory Care part of Benedictine Living Community in Northfield, MN. My sister recently passed away from Dementia so I no longer go there to see her and visit with the other residents. My opinion of the facility has not changed, they have the highest standards. The place is so clean, the aides are competent and well trained, everyone is friendly, the food is very good. I loved it that they have only two levels of pricing; other places have many levels pf pricing and tiers within each level and one felt constantly bombarded by rising prices. They did implement a charge for nursing services of $30 per quarter hour that wasn't in place when my sister first arrived; I wasn't happy about that but that is my only complaint.
