Benchmark at Tatnuck Park

Since my loved one has moved to Tatnuck Park, we have noticed an incredible change. She is more independent, happy to be social and thriving physically, mentally and emotionally. We find the grounds to be incredibly well maintained, the staff to be kind and professional. It is clean and welcoming. There is no where else I would want my loved one to be.

After months of health challenges, we were looking for a safe place for my mother to recover and get her strength back while in a supportive environment with a safety net of resources. She moved in to Benchmark at Tatnuck for a month of respite and we very quickly noticed an improvement not only in her physical health but her mental health as well. She was eating more than she had in weeks, gaining strength and mobility, and socializing. She loved it so much, she decided to stay and she is truly thriving in the environment they have cultivated for their residents. She is able to live largely independently but with so many resources and caring people nearby. All of the management and staff are engaging and are there to help with anything she needs. The communication between staff and family has also been first class. The living area itself is beautiful, updated, and exceptionally maintained but most importantly, the caregivers there are wonderful and have created a community where elders and people with health challenges can thrive. We are so grateful to have found a place where our mom is safe and happy!

Tatnuck park is a fantastic place to visit. The staff are warm, engaging and truly caring. The residents create such a welcoming and vibrant community. Every visit feels positive and meaningful. You can really feel the sense of connection and pride throughout the community.

In the span of les than a month, my father passed and I found myself in the role of caregiver to my brother who has autism, and my mother who has severe dementia—both of whom require 24-hour supervision and personal care. Faced with sudden crisis, I was hesitant to admit that my situation was not sustainable nor healthy for myself or my loved ones. After only one conversation with the admissions department at Tatnuck Park at Worcester, i felt as though I had received an entire education about caring for a loved one with dementia. I struggled tremendously with the notion of placing my mom in a “home,” but after visiting Tatnuck Park and seeing their beautiful private rooms, stimulating daily activities, and evidence-based programs—all tailored to my mom’s personality and specific behaviors—I knew my search was finally over. The amazing team at Tatnuck Park rescued two people from what was the most challenging time of my life. My mom is safe, happier and more relaxed than she has been in recent memory, and I was able to once again live my life, fully confident in the choice I had made.
