Deeply Disappointed with Belmont Village Sabre Springs I’m very disappointed with the care and concern my mother received at Belmont Village Sabre Springs. She was often left waiting 30–40 minutes just to be taken to the dining room for meals — a situation that happened frequently and caused her significant distress. Eventually, I had to purchase her an electric wheelchair just so she could get to meals on time. But the biggest disappointment came when I was informed — without warning or any meaningful discussion — that her monthly rate would jump from $5,950 to $6,370 and then suddenly to over $10,000 a month. I was told this was due to a “reassessment,” which felt more like an excuse to justify a massive rate hike than a genuine evaluation of her needs. I attempted to speak with the Director, Tracy Knepple, about this unreasonable increase, but I was met with rudeness and unprofessionalism. I was treated with complete disregard and disrespect, despite being a concerned family member trying to advocate for my mother’s care and well-being. As a result, I made the decision to move my mom to a new facility — one where she is now thriving and no longer has to worry about inconsistent care or unexpected financial strain. I strongly urge anyone considering Belmont Village Sabre Springs to look very carefully at how they handle both care and communication. In our experience, they failed on both fronts.

My cousin, a resident at at Belmont Village Senior living Sabre Springs California has not had a bath in 10 days. Her contract specifies one shower a week which she has not had and was told she’ll have to wait until next week. Contacting management has been useless as they are totally unresponsive. Think twice about this senior assisted living facility.

I want to share the great experience my Mom had moving into Belmont Sabre Springs. We made the difficult decision to move my Mom after 6 months as another facility to Belmont Sabre Springs. Its something you hope you don't need to do but the previous facility was not run as we had been told it would. My Mom was very unhappy there from the first day. Well, then there is Belmont Sabre Springs...from the tour with Kelly and Kristen, through signing papers, they were both very professional, very engaging with my Mom and very informative. The staff all met us with smiles and several came into my Mom's unit the day of move-in to introduce themselves and welcome my Mom. She loved that. We had a small challenge during the move, we were able to ask Diane at the front desk (she's wonderful too) and she put in an order for maintenance, Ben came by so quickly and everything was fixed! So nice to have such great response! Lastly, they paired my Mom with a couple current residents to go with my Mom to meals, show her around and talk with her about activities. They even accompanied her to a couple activities. This was a game-changer for my Mom! She needed a little encouragement to get social and that was what she needed. I am a big fan of Belmont Sabre Springs, all the staff and how they have made my Mom feel so welcome! I couldn't be happier!

If you have an independent family member or friend who needs a home, Belmont Village is a lovely place. They are doing their best when it comes to assisted living care for residents with memory related conditions. But after being at a different facility for a couple of months I have downgraded this review. Belmont is not the place for those with cognitive impairment- their policies and staff are not well suited to keep those dealing with dementia safe, nor do they follow doctors orders very well. Communication with the staff was interment, messages often didn’t get fully communicated to the right people. Turnover was extremely high both in management and staff. Though everyone was nice and seemed to be trying hard our loved one’s health was at risk there. Not to mention how ineffective their strategies for getting showered were. I had to hire extra care for someone else to do their job. And was advised to do so by their management. I had given them all the support as a family member that I could . Now that we’ve gone elsewhere our loved one is thriving again.
