We had to find a place for Jim’s sister who lived in New York with dementia. We looked at different Senior Care facilities and when we found Avista Senior Living used to be Jasmine Place we fell in love with it. It was bright, friendly and very clean. The care in the facility was really good. She has a bachelor apartment and she loves it there. We can’t say enough how we feel about Avista. I recommend this place. We even have told friends about it and one gentleman has come to live there as well. Every holiday they have special activities for all the residents and family members.

Where do I even start…I could not have found a better place for my loved one. From day one Gloria was always there for me answering every little question I had and just supporting me through the difficult time. I live in a different state and piece of mind is everything so knowing that my loved one was getting the love, care and compassion she needed eased my worries and fears. Nicole was also so wonderful. She kept me informed of what was going on with my loved one and if there were ever any concerns she was on top of it. Everyone there was top notch and went the extra mile not only for my loved one but for myself and my family. I don’t know how I would have gotten through these last couple years without Avista. From all my and my families hearts…THANK YOU.💕

My mother was there for 6 months. At first it seemed like a nice place to live It was not. The food was lousy they could not keep a good cook. There was a time when they had no food to feed the residents. They had to go out and get take out from restaurants. There was a few good caregivers at this facility but they quit due to lack of pay and long hours. Some of the caregivers quit because of Scott, the director who runs the place like a third world country. One week two caregivers quit. There was a time when Scott, and the house doctor who was not really a MD. Sent my mother to the ER and did not NOTIfY me. I'm her P.O.A she was in the ER for 12 hours. I found out when I went to the facility that morning to visit at 7 AM and found out she was not in her room. My mother had dementia and she did not know where she was and why she was there. Scott treated my mother with no respect lack of care he should not be a director. He was reported to Adult Protection Services and Arizona State Licensing. Beware of taking your loved ones to that facility if Scott is the director.

If you plan on moving in your loved one here, save your self the time & money. This facility/cooperate does not care for either staff or residents. They’re always short staffed making it impossible to attend to residents needs when they don’t have the proper staff, & the staff they do have they force them to work 16 hour days, not only do they have staff working the floor doing one on one personal care with residents they have them in the kitchen serving meals to the residents after just doing peri care on individuals. DISGUSTING! They change cooks every other week, residents never receive an accurate meal let alone a warm one due to cooks constantly coming and going. Cooks are paying out of pocket to try and provide residents what’s on the menu when the facility does not provide the food that is listed on they’re menu half the time! There is no activities director in the facility to distract these residents for a few hours a day. They only have the option to watch tv or do puzzles every day (BORING). The executive director COURTNEY is hardly ever there, when she shows up she hides in her office does not interact with any staff of residents. When she does attend she’s either late or leaves early or just never there. The facility AC is broken making the residents and staff sweat and suffer in a city where it’s 125 degrees out and over 90 degrees hot inside !! Your loved ones deserve the BEST QUALITY of life, especially for the amount of money paid out. Save your money and go else where.
