Aventura at Oakwood Village

Nursing sucks here only one nurse that was helpful and caring her name is Susan .....therapy was and is great here but food is not good or nutritious for anyone. Would not recommend this place only the therapy...nurses avoided contact and was not helpful 🙄 with questions or information didn't want to take time to look up on patients chart most of the time. Susan was great the nurse that cares for her patients. Call light can be on for an hour and they don't even look up or care how long the patient has to wait. I visited the perso 2 times every day for 2 weeks so I definitely know. Not very good aids either only a couple Casy and Rodney are the best ones on this hall. Reconsider your plan to put your loved one here. Check it out good...they act nice at first but they are not.

My grandmother came here for rehab. The rehab part is great while the care she received was awful. The answer to everything was , "we are short staffed ". They give showers twice a week if your lucky., and if you get one the water is cold . The call light time is whenever they want 2-6 hour wait time for meds or to go to the bathroom. It sad to see such a well known place gone bad . For the money oakwood charges , they should have plenty of staff with better care . If they can't get the help don't fell the beds . Raymond is the BEST staff they have , he answers every call light in a reasonable time and help where he could My grandmother really appreciated him .

My father, mother, father-in-law, and mother-in-law and several friends and loved ones have lived at Oakwood Village and received very excellent care. This 72-acre retirement community is in the city but feels like your in a secluded beautiful country setting with all the wildlife, trails, and prairie.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have found Oakwood Village Nursing Home. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by Starr. Starr is absolutely amazing and very informative and passionate about Oakwood. The staff is truly exceptional—every nurse and caregiver goes above and beyond to ensure that residents feel comfortable, cared for, and valued. The facility itself is clean, bright, and inviting, with a range of activities that keep residents engaged and social. The communal spaces are lovely, providing a great atmosphere for residents to socialize and enjoy each other's company. Additionally, the level of personalized care is outstanding. The staff takes the time to get to know each resident’s unique needs and preferences, which makes a world of difference. Communication is also excellent; I always feel informed about any patients that I have contacted Starr about. Most importantly, I can see the genuine compassion that the staff has for the residents. They treat each individual with dignity and respect, creating a true sense of community. I highly recommend Oakwood Village Nursing Home to anyone seeking a nurturing and supportive environment for their loved ones. It truly feels like a home away from home!
