Our 99 year old mom moved into Life Guidance at Atria Tamalpais Creek in November 2025. She has dementia where it was getting harder to care for her at home. She now has a cozy bedroom, 3 full meals a day, and has made friends with residents and staff. She has more energy, strength and vitality now than she's had in years!! We will be celebrating her 100th birthday in August in the lovely, shady fenced in yard. The majority of our family live near by and she gets many visits. Even our dogs can visit! Tamalpais Creek is a beautiful, comfortable and welcoming place. It's a vibe. My sister and I felt it the first time we visited and so did our mom. Marufa Tanzin, Life guidance director and many of the staff-- Alvin, Sandra, Roselle, Maria, Aner, Josef, Linda, Joy, there are more-- who care for her and the other residents with compassionate care. A shoutout to Helen Bond, Engage Life Director, for coordinating fun and energizing events and parties for all the residents. We are so grateful to you all for taking care of our mom!

I am not a resident of Atria Tamalpais Creek but rather an entertainer in a ukelele group that plays there once a month. Helen Bond, the activity director, has such energetic and fun loving energy and always tries to engage the residents in dancing and singing with us. We love entertaining there because the residents always seem to take part in the music, both singing and moving. I’m sure when the time comes I would be happy to be a resident of Atria. It’s such a lovely place and Helen does a great job as activity director,

I am not a stranger to Assisted Living Facilities; almost all of my career/volunteer paths have provided the opportunity to walk halls, visit rooms and talk with residents and team members. Atria Tamalpais Creek is a gem. What might one notice? The smiles. Each team member at Atria offers a sincere smile, which acts as the doorway to positive experiences at events, dining, professional encounters or just a passing of two people in the hallway. This is the key to the feeling of inclusion felt by the residents. My experiences at Atria Tamalpais Creek have mostly involved the activities orchestrated by Helen Bond. She creates thoughtful opportunities for residents to engage with both each other and with the community. Opportunity is the right word. We can all relate to days when we are low on energy, and prefer to turn inwards. Helen offers residents the encouragement to connect and put forth the energy. The results are stellar, as participants appear to truly find the joy in creating, learning, listening to music and watching others do so. All are included. This is a hallmark - it’s easy to offer a schedule of events (or simply set up a room, get a bus). Helen’s dedication to coaching team members in ways to encourage resident engagement is the key. All are respected. The variety of activities is significant, allowing different energy levels for residents, including moments of reflection (days past and current moments). Helen is an open-minded listener and responder. It’s no wonder that the staff and residents of Atria Tamalpais smile.
