I highly recommend Atria Newport Plaza! From the moment you walk in, the community has such a warm, homey feeling that makes residents and families feel welcome. I’ve really enjoyed living at Atria Newport Plaza. One of my favorite things is the location being so close to the beach is honestly hard to beat. It’s nice being able to go for a walk, it’s literally a 5 minute walk. The community itself has been a great place to live. It’s quiet, clean, and always feels well taken care of. The staff has been friendly and super outgoing. I never see any trash in the hallways, the building is well taken care of. The residents that reside there are great to talk to as well, friendly neighbors. The pets that reside here are friendly and non aggressive which is a great thing not to worry about. The activities staff is very engaging with the residents and even allow the families to join in on whatever activity of the day. Overall I highly recommend.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone considering a place for a loved one. Management was rarely available or responsive. The kitchen frequently struggled to keep water and refreshments stocked, and the quality of the meals was often disappointing. I also regularly observed dining room staff failing to assist residents in a timely manner.Additionally, caregivers were often upstairs while residents waited for assistance, and it frequently appeared that socializing took priority over resident care. The facility consistently seemed understaffed, which negatively impacted the quality of care residents received. Considering the cost of living here, I do not believe families receive the level of care and attention they are paying for.Before choosing this facility, I strongly encourage families to reconsider and do thorough research before making a decision.
