Ascension Living St. Francis Place

I wish I could give 0 stars! I went to visit my sister in law and it was call bells going off like crazy and my SIL was waiting for a pain pill for an hour ! She said it is only 2 assistants for almost 30 patients and one nurse a shift. When the nurse came she looked like a zombie . No offense to her. The nurses & assistants are nice (some) but are clearly overworked. There is no way proper care is being given. Hello? Where is management? Overworking your staff is not the way to go. The staff were very attentive and friendly, the wait times are long and food looks gross. The rooms are outdated and feel like you went back in time to the 70s but it was signage for a new receptionist area.. go figure! How about hire more staff instead of packing the place up to mistreat people! It is clearly about money here and not patient care. Overall a very depressing place , clearly needs new management that cares about the patients and staff taking care of them instead of remodeling places that has NOTHING to do with patient care. I have worked at some pretty bad places (retired RN), so I have seen just about everything and this is one place to avoid! I will be glad when her rehab is up, first ticket out!

The service here is not good on a regular basis. Not enough staff to help patients. Especially fall risk patients. Food is not good, The level of care is not good. Rehab is on point. My dad needs assistance to go the bathroom an aide told him to get up and walk on his own. And had his bed soil. It’s so sad that you hath to think twice when it comes from to your love ones.

Where do i start. When it became to much for my family to care for our love one their was not a debate on where we would try and place him. St. Francis Place as a whole has compassionate caregivers. Knowing that (Tony) would be taken care of with dignity and respect put many at ease. I truly believe nursing is a calling and most do their very best to care for the ones we are entrusted with. Knowing that he was in good hands put my family at ease. Any concerns were addressed and my family was listened to. Tony was smiling with staff and a little flirty because he was comfortable with the staff. Overall the care and dedication of the employees that work at St. Francis Place you can't compare. If services are needed again we are definitely returning. Heartland Hospice staff go beyond their job. The many talks i had with staff showed me that they care deeply for the one they provide care to. To all Thank You very much for doing what you do.

A Wonderful Place for My Loved One It was hard to find a long-term care facility that truly feels like home, but Ascension Living St. Francis Place achieves that and MORE. The staff are compassionate, friendly, and always willing to help. They make sure my mom has everything she needs, and they keep the family well-informed. THEY just 1 call away for any questions or concerns we need answered. The Administrator Mr. Edgar and DON Mrs. Fonbah along with their amazing staff provided an environment that is warm ,welcoming, and I love seeing the relationships she has built with both caregivers and fellow residents. We couldn’t ask for a better place for her.
