My mom’s stay started a little slow but as day four approached after the Friday she was admitted, the response time became quicker and the food became more enjoyable. It could have been that first weekend or temps that were covering. Day 5-12 have been excellent! She is much happier now!! Thank you staff!!

30 falls in a year and a half. A broken hip, a broken leg, and that is with family members watching my mother 6 hours per day to try to keep her safe. We have pointed Siena's management to technological advances that would help monitor patient safety, but nothing has been done. The website says "You can feel confident that dignity and quality of life are top priorities." Safety does not seem to be a concern.

Looking for a highly rated nursing facility for your loved ones? This is not the place! This place is a facade. It looks extremely clean and everyone seems friendly but what goes on in this place is not right. They let patients fall until they hurt themselves. If someone is a fall risk and has repeatedly fallen before wouldn't you monitor them better? They have fallen more in this facility than when they were living at home! Ive come to visit and the room smelled like urine and they do not change patients properly, they do not assist in meals as much as they should be, crumbs and food left on the floor I mean the list of improper procedures goes on and on. Read the recent reviews and do not fall for this. Paying to remove this bad review I'm sure that's why it's easy to be impressed by this place on first impressions but the curtains raised quickly and red flags everywhere please do proper research if you care about your loved ones! UPDATE - Father is dead and while the care did slightly improve it was just too late. STAY AWAY they also try to send you bills not even in your name don't pay them!

Don’t let the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan fool you. This was the worst experience I ever saw in how the staff neglected the residents in the memory care facility. The staff doesn’t care about the residents and the management doesn’t do anything to get more help. My father walked into the facility with his walker and due to their neglect he was in a wheelchair and needed a hoyer lift within 3 months. His muscles atrophied and had 5 bedsores on various parts of his body that were 5” in diameter all of which could have been prevented. He had multiple skin tears, bruising and swelling, due to the staff pulling on the arms of an elderly person. The neglect and abuse was horrific. Multiple times I witnessed the staff hanging out in a computer room, leaving the residents alone. No help in feeding them, toileting them or changing them. I saw family members in search of someone to get their father off the toilet, who had been forgotten for 25 minutes. I saw a staff member leave pills for each resident, without making sure the resident took their pills. I saw 2 cases where residents fell and none of the caregivers were around. This place needs to be shut down. We moved our father out within 4 months. In the 4 months he was there, they didn’t shower him, shave him, trim his nails, he was filthy. They left him on his own to rot.
