Moving an extremely independent 90 year old into assisted living is never going to be easy but with the expert help of Arbor Village, we made it happen. After touring three assisted living properties in the Kent/Covington area, Arbor Village stood out for meeting our check listed items. 1) 24/7 nurses available; 2) some transportation provided; 3) front desk manned; 4) nutritious meals; 5) attention given to residents. My mom moved from a senior apartment building with no services, where she was invisible to management to Arbor Village where she is respected, cared for and the staff know her name. She is encouraged to participate in activities, which there are many each week and the daily schedule is posted all around the facility. The nursing staff is top notch and have cared well for my mom and her complicated medical needs. The facility director, Jennifer, has been extremely helpful. Their chef walks through the dining area during service and specifically checks on the residents and know their likes and dislikes. She ordered various kinds of tea and made them available to my mom. The desire of our family was to have our mom-mother-in-law-grandma-great grandma well taken care of and showered with love for the rest of her life. Arbor Village has proven to be a great partner in our quest to make that happen.

Our family visited several senior/assisted living homes searching for a place our mom could call home. Mom joined the Arbor Village family 1 year ago. The entire staff have provided her and her family with kindness and caring friendship on a daily basis.The staff are like family now. They helped her with this huge adjustment and making new friends. They welcomed her and her family as their own. Arbor Village staff have gone above this 5 star rating and our family is very thankful.

My husband resides at Arbor Village and it is a wonderful experience for both of us. The staff treats him with a lot of love and affection and they treat me the same. Finding a new home for a loved one is never easy, even in the best of circumstances. From the moment we reached out to the team at Arbor Village, we were met with transparent, honest answers to our difficult questions. Their seasoned team provided thoughtful guidance, helping us determine the best fit for our sister, who has a traumatic brain injury (TBI). The transition was seamless, and her new apartment is light-filled and beautiful. Now, after more than a year of living in her new community, we know we made the best decision in supporting her healing journey. The caregivers, chef, kitchen staff, housekeeping team, nurses, and Shauna have all played an incredible role in making her move from memory care to assisted living a beautifully supported growth experience. We are deeply grateful for the compassionate and dedicated people at Arbor Village. Their support has truly made a difference in our sister’s life, and in ours.
