Our dad was a resident at Amira Choice memory care and recently passed. Our family would like to send our sincere thanks to Alees, Dean, Katie, Ernestine and their wonderful team of nurses and aids. The people at Amira Choice are kind, caring, and attentive, while working hard to give great care to the residents. Our family is truly grateful that we found Amira Choice for our dad.

Replying to the Owner: The same day your onsite executive director reached out, I left her a voicemail with my availability. So again, with the dishonesty... I appreciate that my concern about the resident directory was addressed and taken seriously. I also appreciate that rent increases are necessary. However, we were told, prior to signing the lease, that rent would not increase for a year. Ten weeks after moving in, he received $160 a month increase in rent. I believe this is called bait and switch. Beautiful place but the leasing agent said whatever he thought we wanted to hear and even outright lied at times to get the sale. Just 10 WEEKS after we moved our dad in, they increased his rent 6%. They only offer month to month leases so with a month's notice, rent can go up anytime. Also, a resident directory is available to take home for anyone who enters the building. The directory is complete with first and last names, contact info (email and phone) along with apartment numbers. With so many scams targeted at seniors, this practice seems reckless. We were hoping we had found a place to care for our dad as his cognitive abilities decline but with so much dishonestly, disinformation and disregard for his safety, we're left feeling that he was just preyed upon.

Amira Choice Bloomington has been a perfect choice for my parents. We felt that they needed a place with a variety of care options, and we are very pleased. While originally reluctant to leave their condo in Richfield, they have settled in well. The facilities are excellent. Their apartment has modern amenities and abundant natural light. They have both commented on how quiet it is. The food is excellent. They are both enjoying three nutritional and satisfying meals a day. They also tell me that everyone is "so friendly." They have taken advantage of the pub, the exercise room and the salon. There are abundant activities every day. The staff has always treated them with respect and care. We feel very fortunate to have them at Amira Choice Bloomington.
