American House Troy Reviews

My families experience has been amazing with the Troy American House. It’s been a little over a year since my mom moved in. Her apartment is spacious, with a kitchen and her own little balcony. She was even able to bring her bird with her when she moved in. There are so many activities scheduled all the time. Whether it’s games, movies, entertainment being brought in (live bands, singers, etc,) and pet therapy, there is something always happening! The care staff are absolutely top notch. We’ve had a couple incidents where my mom needed medical attention. They always respond quickly and also compassionately. The dining room serves 3 meals a day. The food (according to my picky mom) is delicious and even if she doesn’t like what’s being served, she can get an alternate meal. It’s not the easiest decision to come to when a loved one needs some place else to live - we are all so happy we found our American House extended family.

We are forever grateful to Lois for telling us about American House and how this community would be a great fit for my mother-in-law and her cat. She told us about the PACE program that she could qualify for which has been a game changer! Her medical care is top notch and we have great comfort knowing all of the services she receives on a daily basis. Thank you Lois and the med team!

My husband and I moved in to the about 4 months ago, in a rushed manner. The move was rough, but the landing was just right. The staff at American House Troy have been wonderful. The administration staff has helped to make our adjustment easy as possible. Maintenance has been very helpful. The food service has surpassed expectations! The housekeeping staff has been excellent. The medical staff has been very helpful. The activity staff provides group activities and personal assistance to make us feel part of an extended family. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
