American House Southgate

My aunt is living here and several of us family from California and Oklahoma came to visit and you all reserved a room for us to have lunch and a wonderful visit. And everyone was very helpful and polite to us. Thank you so much for making our visit very memorable and pleasant. And thank you for everything you do for aunt Jean Houser.

I've had the absolute delight of working hand in hand with the amazing staff at American House Southgate. In my time I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with Jacob, Nicole, and the entire team—and I can confidently say they set the standard for excellence in senior living. Their kindness, hospitality, and professionalism consistently shine through in every interaction. Jacob and Nicole are incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and welcoming—not just to residents and families, but also to those of us who work alongside them. The entire staff creates an environment that feels warm, respectful, and truly resident-focused. If you're considering a community for a loved one, I highly recommend taking a look at American House Southgate. It's a place where people are genuinely cared for, and I can honestly say I've never had a visit that didn't end with a gigantic smile on my face and the knowledge that residents truly felt comfortable and at home.

We just recently moved my mother in law into Southgate American House and she loves it. I had been looking for the right place for her for months and found it here. When I went in for the tour Jacob,Nicole, and Sherice(sorry not sure correct spelling) were so kind and helpful. They really put me at ease. The residents were also very friendly and helpful. The first day I took mom down to eat in cafeteria and she met so many new friends. They were all willing to help her learn where everything is and just a wonderful bunch of people. I would recommend to anyone looking for a safe place for their loved one. The apartments are beautiful and again she truly loves being there.

My mother-in-law, who's 97, and her son (who suffered a stroke last year) moved into a 2 bedroom apartment. My mother-in-law was very hesitant about leaving her home of 50+ years but has since become very comfortable with her new living arrangements. She visits the exercise room regularly and enjoys walking outside when weather permits. The level of care provided by the staff more than met our expectations. The staff is very friendly and always go out of their way to quickly and willingly respond to any issues that may arise. They have medical personnel on sight that can respond to any emergencies and can also provide on-going patient care. Many times, when we visit, the lobby is filled with people enjoying entertainment provided by the management. I would definitely recommend American House in Southgate to anyone requiring assisted living for a loved one.
