My family and I would like to highly compliment a few employees at American House Sarasota. All four of these employees: Med techs , Gabby, Fanny, and Yeily are absolutely wonderful. All 3 are so caring, perform their job duties perfectly, very personable. They all are so great with my mom- they love her and my mom loves them! They truly care about the people who live here. Jeremy, who is in your maintenance department does a fantastic job and really cares about these people! He also is so nice, pleasant, and personable. All four of these employees are an asset to this senior living community, and you should be grateful they are here. I know we are ! -Ann Bolton

American House Sarasota is a beautiful property with friendly, caring staff and residents. Luis, who works in memory care, is particularly kind and gentle, and I’m grateful to him for easing our transition. And Ryan at the front desk always gives a friendly, personal greeting, and clearly cares about residents and visitors alike. Thank you!

We have lived here for almost a year. We would like to give praise to Hector, a med tech, who is always attentive to our needs. He also is always on time in providing medications. Kudos to Hector!

Absolutely disgusting and appalling behavior displayed from American House and their employees. There is absolutely no empathy. They only see their residents as dollar signs. My grandmother and grandfather are not paying $8000 a month to have their safety and comfort discarded so callously. They are paying to live in a 2x2. However, due to flooding and water damage, they were prohibited by America House to use one of their bathrooms. Months went by without anything being done to fix this situation. Yet they continued to be charged and pay for a 2x2. Recently, they were moved to a 1x1 as the flooding and damage had increased. Yet American House continued to charge them for a 2x2 and are demanding we pay $32,000 before they will adjust the cost. It is extremely evident that this facility only cares about the money each resident will bring in. Aside from the money, for months, the elevator has been broken and the fire sprinklers do not work. They have recently moved my grandfather back into the 2x2, however, there are boxes, materials, and other debris all around the apartment left from the flooding. They moved him back in without our knowledge. The only good thing about this facility are the workers who take care of my grandparents. They are wonderful. It is very unfortunate that they are overworked and understaffed. Do NOT move your family members in here if you care about them.
