Affinity at Puyallup has to be the very best place for a bit older folks seeking to pass yard work and home repairs on to someone else. The living space is perfect for us and that is just the beginning. The whole building is full of activities and awesome people to keep the social life going or you can sit in the garden or on the deck and have a peaceful time too. So much is included in your rent that it makes bill paying a breeze. All of this said, the very best thing about this place is the 6 people running it. Each one of them truly cares about the residents. They are a wonderful working machine that likes each other and loves us, the residents. Thank you to each one of them for making this community the best!

I highly recommend Affinity at Piyallup. I just love living here! It’s so clean and well maintained. The amenities are outstanding and there are so many activities to get involved in. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I feel like I live in a resort! The library, theater and heated pool are my fave! Love it!

Affinity at Puyallup is the worst place! The ceiling in the 4th floor has been leaking all summer (all they do is put a bandaid on it, and it continues to leak), the pool hasn’t been in working order for months, the dog park is on a steep slope and one of the residents slipped and fell on their face on the grass when they took their dog out in the morning because they water the grass at 7am so it’s slippery. They insist on having elaborate parties (not for us but so they can get more people interested in moving in). Renter be warned. I’m only here until my lease is up, I can’t pack fast enough.

My 85-year-old mother lived at the Puyallup Affinity Community for over five years. During this time, the maintenance and office staff had been supportive, attentive to her needs, responsive, courteous and friendly. After notifying the manager of her move out date on April 30, 2025 due to health needs, we began the move out process. On May 7, my mother selected things to bring to her new residence. I staged items and one was a jewelry box that she chose. Two days later it was gone. When I reported to the manager what happened, it was SUGGESTED that I didn't lock her door, or my mom gave away another set of keys. Both impossible. In fact, when I turned in three sets of keys, they only had records of two sets, so the security of key issuance is lacking. I made a police report. I cannot even tell my mother due to the shock and stress of this knowledge. The items were of both value and sentimental. To the staff person who got access to the master key, you won, and I was stupid. I trusted this place never thinking in a million years someone would walk in and grab what they could quickly. I honestly do not know what else is missing. Beware families, when you give notice for your loved ones, please remove all valuables before doing so.
