My mother has been here in memory care for several years. The care has not been good. We have met with administration and was promised improvement but it was just talk and no action. They advertised brain based activities for dementia but it has been months and months since they have had any kind of consistent activities, let alone, brain based. My mom has been (documented) left for up to 14 hours in wet clothing, not taken to the bathroom. No regular schedule. At this point my mother is in her last days and needs medication every two hours. Last week they let the night nurse go. She was a truly compassionate person and many times was the one that made sure my mom was dry and comfortably in bed. If she needs meds now during the night, the family will have to come in and administer it. None of us live in Sparta. She is paying over $6000 a month for care. They just raised it over $300 dollars. There are no CNAs on their staff at all. The administrator told me today that's because they have one Care Manager. Care managers are not certified and cannot administer medication. We have a storm coming and no nurse on staff at night. Our responsibility to get there and give meds every two hours. My sister stayed there last night. The toilet isn't working in my mom's room. There is no compassion from the Administration. It has been heart breaking watching my mom's care through the camera we had installed. NO, I would Not Recommend Addington Place.

My father is in this facility and it is amazing. The staff is very professional, caring and attentive. They make sure he has everything he needs and help him when he needs it. It has definitely given my family and I peace of mind knowing that he is well taken care of, The facility is clean, and well maintained. Cedarhurst is an asset to Sparta for our elderly. I would recommend this Assisted Living facility to anyone who just needs a little or a lot of care. They also keep the residents as active as possible, set up any physical or speech therapy needed, give rides to and from doctors appointments or anything else that the resident needs. I have been so thankful that my father is here.

I can't say enough good things about Cedarhurst of Sparta. The care, love and support they give the residents is amazing. Very clean facility. Lots of activities to keep everyone involved and active. The provide joy rides and trips to different stores. The nurses, activity directors....everyone that works there is so helpful. I would recommend Cedarhurst to anyone needing a place for their elderly loved ones to live.

During the summer of 2018, I placed my mother into the memory care portion of Cedarhurst in Sparta for 2 weeks while I took a much needed break. When I dropped her off AND when I picked her up, she never once complained. In fact, she enjoyed herself so much, that she became a full time resident 2 1/2 weeks later. She has people in her age range to be with and the staff I’ve dealt with are very caring towards her.
