I love the Watercrest family. They work so hard endlessly each & every day to ensure that the residents needs are met. I have witnessed this for over a year now. They are all so caring & helpful. They really care about each & every resident. I love seeing the hugs & love given to the residents as they smile from ear to ear then throw up their arms for a hug just like a big family. It’s such a beautiful blessing. The Amazing Director over Memory Care is just wonderful. She walks in & everyone in the room lights up smiling and holding out their arms for a hug. She really loves & cherishes the residents or as she would say, her family. The nurses & aides work constantly to ensure that the residents have the best care ever. I love the Watercrest family. They really make you feel like family. Watercrest is a very beautiful place that just makes you feel proud to be there.

My grandma has been at Watercrest for over a year now, and every time we visit, she’s happy and loving life. The management team is always around, welcoming everyone and staying involved, which really means a lot. It’s such a comfort knowing she’s so well cared for, and we’re so grateful for the amazing staff!

ELDER CARE AT WATERCREST SANTA ROSA BEACH FL IS FLAWED Watercrest's administrator asked my brother-in-law, a former Naval Captain, to act as their "Resident Liaison." This was an unpaid position. His assigned role was to welcome new residents, help them acclimate, answer their questions and convey any complaints/problems fellow residents were experiencing to the administrator. However, over time, the administrator began getting annoyed and would take issue when he brought up concerns. She became verbally disrespectful, "talking down" to him in a demeaning manor, claiming he was a troublemaker even though he was bringing up residents issues, thus doing exactly what the administrator originally asked him to do. After one such contentious interaction, my brother-in-law received notice his lease was being terminated in 45 days. He never had a previous warning either verbal or written that there was a problem. Nor has the Corporate office established an appeal process for lease terminations. His daughter contacted Watercrest's Corporate office repeatedly and got the proverbial runaround. My sister, a memory care resident with dementia, suffered acute fear and exacerbation of confusion when she had to be moved to a new facility in order to remain with her husband. As an RN, I am appalled that the administrator of an elder and memory care facility residence has zero skills or training in conflict resolution. Rather, residents are "kicked out" because the administrator doesn't know how to handle valid concerns other than arbitrary retaliation! In truth, it felt Watercrest's administrator and Corporate officer's just didnt't want to be bother....after all, they had a waiting list. Furthermore, my niece posted a comprehensive 1 star review a couple of months ago regarding her father's care at Watercrest with his knowledge. It was removed. Excerpt: "If companies are selectively removing reviews that don't align with their preferred image, that raises serious concerns about transparency and trustworthiness. Instead of hiding feedback, maybe consider addressing it?" Our family's distressing experience with Watercrest is unfathomable. The treatment my brother-in-law received is unacceptable, and the subsequent termination of his lease is alarming. The administrator's lack of conflict resolution skills, inability to address valid concerns, and resorting to verbal disrespect is appalling. The retaliation against my brother-in-law by terminating his lease without any prior warning or a clear appeal process raises serious concerns about the facility's treatment of residents. The resulting need to relocate of my sister, a memory care resident with dementia, is particularly troubling. But if you and your loved one is willing "keep their mouth shut, not complain and have no expetation of having thier issues resolved," despite their hefty rental fees, then perhaps Watercrest may be a place to consider. But our family demands respectful, compassionate care and genuine concern for the well-being of our loved ones.
