As this is my very first time working in a nursing home, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I’ve found here has been both rewarding and eye-opening. • Activities for Residents: I truly enjoy the amount of activities available for the residents. There’s always something engaging happening, and it’s wonderful to see how much joy these programs bring to their daily lives. • Hands-On Staff: The staff here is hands-on and ready to go at all times. Whether it’s helping with meals, assisting with mobility, or simply spending time with residents, everyone is committed to being present and supportive. • Strong Communication: Communication is something we don’t miss—especially between staff members. There’s a clear sense of teamwork, and that makes everything run smoothly. • Resident Happiness: One of the things that makes the residents happiest is knowing we’re here for them. Serving breakfast and lunch, and making sure their bedrooms are cleaned throughout the week, may seem like small tasks, but they make a huge difference in their comfort and well-being. Overall, my first experience working in a nursing home has been fulfilling. It’s not just about the care we provide—it’s about creating a community where residents feel valued, supported, and happy.

Solstice Senior living in Fairport is a beautiful building. Its in a great location and you really get a feel of the place when you enter and speak with the residents. Everyone is extremely welcoming. They provide daily activities and outings whether a trip to visit various locations or to go shopping, As well as the live entertainment. They always encourage all the residents to join and partake in all events. Its always a pleasure being here and spending time with them. I always recommend this place when I hear seniors are looking for a more accommodating home or downsizing. Plus 3 meals a day included is always a plus.
