Care

Assisted Living

A living option for seniors or individuals who require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication management while maintaining a level of independence. Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.

Respite Care

Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

Skilled Nursing

Skilled nursing and nursing homes are residential facilities that offer medical care and support for individuals that require a higher level of medical attention and assistance. These are staffed by licensed healthcare providers and offer a range of services to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents.

I am a regular visitor to a couple of friends who are residents of Juniper and they both love it there and I have found the staff to be nothing but friendly every time I go there. They are very helpful and attentive to my friends who are the residences there. I also want to give a special shout out to Brandi at the desk. She too is always very welcoming even very helpful to residences as well. Thank you.

My observation on the rehabilitation neighborhood has been a positive one. I always see the nurses busy with their residents and the CNAs are quick to answer call lights. The residents are involved with activities and the staff assist with getting them to the activities. I recommend this facility for those needing great rehabilitation services.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the care my husband received at Juniper Assisted Living. From the moment we arrived, the facility was poorly maintained, with an overwhelming odor of feces in the halls. His room was cramped, and the call light was broken upon arrival, leaving us without assistance when he needed help transferring from his wheelchair to the bed. That night, his room was uncomfortably hot, and despite pressing the call button for help, no one came. I had to call the front desk to get someone to assist him. Worse, he was left in the same clothes he arrived in, and no one changed him into clean nightwear. The next morning, I woke up to multiple missed calls from my distressed husband. No one had checked on him overnight except to give medication, and he had been left in a soaked pull-up until morning. I called the facility multiple times before finally getting someone to assist him. Later, when he rang for help due to stomach pain, no one responded, forcing him to maneuver himself to the toilet. When I arrived, his wheelchair was soiled, and staff failed to clean him properly. They later informed me showers weren’t given that day. On his first night, they served a meal of Fritos, chili, and pie—despite his dysphagia from a stroke. He choked on the Fritos, which could have been fatal. A soft diet should have been the default if they didn’t know his medical history. A staff member named Mary later dismissed my concerns, blaming my husband’s distress on confusion rather than acknowledging the facility’s negligence. Additionally, he couldn’t sleep due to another resident yelling all night, worsening his anxiety. I immediately contacted his doctor, who arranged for his transfer. His new facility is clean, well-maintained, and attentive—a stark contrast to Juniper. The level of care at Juniper is unacceptable, and I strongly urge management to address these issues. No one should experience what my husband did.
