Hillside Springs has done so much to make this community a great place to live and work. The new management company is top notch and continues to make improvements every day. The residents, their families, and staff are all super nice and make this community a wonderful place to live for seniors!

I have been looking for an assisted living facility for my mom over 2 months on a limited income. I had read the reviews on Hillside Springs when ou was under a different management corporation. I was at lunch on a Wednesday when I contacted another facility in Hiram and the lady told me that she could not help me but a friend of hers might could. I asked her the name of the facility and it was Courtney Ellerbee at Hillside Springs. I said I have an appointment today at Hillside Springs with a Courtney Edwards. It was the same Courtney! I definitely felt that we had found my mom her new place. She loves it the staff have bent every way possible to make her comfortable and loved. There were no tears! The staff are genuinely happy every day to see their residents and greets each one with a smile. They care about all aspects of the elderly life and the large community and smiles make it. From Courtney and on down the line too many to thank to the residents she has met she is extremely happy and loves that she is a resident at Hillside Springs where they really go beyond and more for your family. It’s like a group of personal Angels for your loved one. My mom is 84 years old and I feel her life is only going to become better. Great Job You Guys, Donna Sinyard

If I was able to give Aspen villiage a negative rating I definitely would. Where do I start?? If you truly love your loved one this isn’t the place for them. Upper management is the biggest problem at this facility. The lack of care and accountability is disgusting. This facility is ran by a newly CNA/CMA (aka Yvie) and “GM” that don’t care about the health and safety of the residents. They are only concerned with getting revenge on caregivers who stands up for themselves. They refused to have med techs overnight, so if it’s an emergency nothing will be done. They have an elderly woman working at night alone at least five nights a week to care for 3 floors of patients. The general manager doesn’t care about the residents or the staff. She puts on a fake smile as if she cares, but trust me she doesn’t. She passes the buck down to an inexperienced CNA that just got her license in April of this year, which who was passing meds prior to being certified. Yvie brags about how close she and Dorothy are with the owner that owns 55% of the building (Mr. Anderson). So yes they abuse their power!! Majority of the workers are afraid of them because of this reason. So, they overwork them and take advantage of the workers. This facility is nasty and disgusting. They don’t even have an housekeeper department. They rely on the overworked staff to clean, do laundry and care for the residents. This facility has mice, mold and roaches. This isn’t a place for no one to live. Hopefully, the state will take charge and shut this building down. If it’s any 5 stars on here from staff members they got paid 10 dollars to write a review!!!

I advise everyone who no longer loves his parents, who would like to punish his relatives, to pay for a room in this place for them. for lack of professionalism, anything can happen to your parents. from managerial staff to the lowest paid CNAs a large number do not have a certificate to do their job. no proper hygienic care, Cockroaches all over the places at night, no consistent food, lack of medical care. it's a shame to say it but it's a fact that he counts corpses monthly.
