Worked here for half a year. This place is under new management and since then it’s gone downhill. Management has gone through so much staff due to the refusal of hiring the appropriate amount of staff. They refuse pay raise while promising it at 3rd, 6th, & 12 months upon hire… I was not the only worker who experienced this. As a server/waitstaff at this place I’ve had experiences where one caregiver was left on the floor to manage all 40+ residents AND growing by themselves. Management is a joke and has no sense of urgency. No communication. Ignorance. Negligence to their workers and residents. The dining service is a joke as the Head Cook refuses to accommodate residents, refusing to cut up food for residents that cannot swallow/chew effectively… Literally this place is a free for all and “it ain’t my job” has been a phrase I’ve probably heard everyday working there.

These photos are only possible because of Bliss Palmer (executive director) and the entire team at Heritage Oaks. My father is 5 days into his move into this amazing place. He’s didn’t want it. But his safety and the love his family has for him, required it. And we hit it out of the park with Heritage Oaks. I’d give 1000 stars if I could.

The facility seems nice on first glance but the management seems to fail on all accounts whether it’s by way of being understaffed or by being completely disorganized during events. The place has potential but is very obviously failing their residents and workers due to their disorganization and lack of caring

Let’s start with The ED, Raises are always a problem now and She give it to the ones she want to even if they are lazy and call in. D.W max them out leaving the older ones at lower amount because she don’t want nobody making more then the ones she brought to the community. She never know how to talk to people in person or on the phone. The HSD never have a clue about nothing. The RCC what do you do besides gossip and be messy towards staff. The Maintenance Guy loves to say it’s not his job but still never do what he supposed to do unless it’s running to get food for management team. The Chief needs to be a assistant in the front because he stay seating there or in the ED office. They can be struggling in the kitchen and he still won’t help. When I worked in the kitchen the smell is horrible. Everything is dirty with mold. Food still be out of date but still served it to the residents.
