I can't say enough good about this place. I wish I could give them 6 stars. Very caring staff. Makes everyone feel like family. If your looking for somewhere to have your loved one taken care of . Then look no further !!! The Gabels on Pelham have our business for life ☆☆☆☆☆

My fiance was giving a worker that had worked there her food but she had cussed him out because he had called her again to make sure she was coming. You would think that you should be greatful that someone is dropping off your food for you but apparently she didn't have any joy in her life. Super disappointed that my fiance had to deal with that.

I visited the Gables back in December, fell in love with the place. I would love to get in there but I cannot self pay. I have Medicare and medicaid that as of today I found out that they will pay % of the bill. My Dr's made Sure of this when they found out I have Cirrhosis of the liver. I have not had to pay anything for medical care since that time. due to the fact I had to leave work and had no money. I really would love to be able to stay there. Every one I met that day was friendly and the rooms were great. This would be a great place to live my last days.

Beware: not a good facility anymore. After 10 months we were thrilled to move my mother-in-law out. At first things were ok, except for some major IT issues making the call buttons not work forcing a call to 911 twice for an ambulance. Staff did try to help us when no one knew where my mother-in-law was taken by ambulance but that was a stressful time that could have been avoided. Next, a change in ownership or management which saw a decline in food quality and overall service to residents. We were assured her medical dietary needs would be met but that became impossible. Food was generally unhealthy and not very tasty. Elevators went out many times. Unexpected fees and various issues caused many headaches. Until we could get my MIL to manage her own meds, mistakes were made with their overpriced med management. We’re lucky we could avoid a longer term situation. The marketing and sales pitch given to prospective residents and family do not match up with reality.
