The staff are great, the facility is a little older but nice. Primary care, podiatrist and other medical testing comes to the resident on-site. Based on my parent’s needs and my interactions, I would recommend.

My family’s experience with Brookdale Watauga has been outstanding. The staff, including Lena, Jennifer, Marianne, and others, truly care about the residents. They operate with kindness and professionalism and work hard to create a great environment for residents. They go above and beyond to make sure their residents are always comfortable & taken care of. I would highly recommend Brookdale in Watauga and would choose it again.

The good.. Lena, Maryanne, and Virginia are awesome! The bad....everything else! Just recently moved my mom out after 1 & half yrs. Brookedale is old, dirty, and feels like an old nursing home from the 1980's. Housekeeping was terrible. Practically nonexistent. Laundry was awful. Clothes came back wrinkled and unwearable. The food, for the most part was bland and not good. Dead bugs in mom's room. Spiderwebs in the hallways. Some residents complained that items went missing from their rooms. Medications not given at proper times. The list is unending. Mom is now at a new facility that is less expensive, but is the Ritz Carlton compared to Brookdale!! I would never recommend Brookdale Watauga to anyone!

We have experienced such loving care from all of the Brookdale Watauga caretakers. They have helped my Grandad adjust to his new living environment and made him feel right at home. My Grandad has enjoyed the dining room and BINGO. He looks forward exercise class each day too. We highly recommend Brookdale Watauga.
